I grew up sharing a love of food and cooking with my mother and sisters.  At breakfast we were discussing what we will have for dinner.  We traveled for food.  We shared time together in the kitchen.  

This passion for food brought me to New York University, where I received a Master of Arts in Food Studies and Food Management.  My favorite courses here, were Recipe Development and Analysis and Food Politics, and I was very lucky to supplement my studies with a thriving food and culture scene in NYC.  

Nowadays, I live in beautiful Portland, Oregon.  From here I can get to the coast, the forest, the mountains, the desert in less than half a day.  I can explore local farms, visit wine country, and learn how to forage for edibles at any season.  This city is known for its incredible food scene, and my children and I savor every part of it.  

My favorite time of day is dinner.  Whether out or in, this is where we spend much time together.  My children are little food adventurers, and I love to share the pleasures of the table with them.

Apples and Ambrosia is my approach to sharing these pleasures with others.  Through cooking classes, workshops, dinner parties, food tours, etc. everyone can experience and expand upon their passion for good food.
